Know How to Slow Down Aging Painless

Aging is the process of becoming older. Everyone can list all the changes that come with age — muscle loss, memory loss, wrinkles, but no one understands what aging is, why it happens, and how to stop it.

Why do we age?

Laura Slauson at Great Senior Living said, "The answer is complex, with many factors coming into play (including many unknown factors). One aging definition that's too concise is accumulating damage to our cells, a process that starts as young as 24.
It's an incomplete definition because it only accounts for the physical causes of aging, not the psychological impacts of bodily changes."

At what age do we start aging?

The first signs of aging become apparent on the skin's surface around 25. Fine lines appear first, and wrinkles, a loss of volume, and a loss of elasticity become noticeable over time.

What things make you age faster?

6 Things That Are Making You Age Faster

  • Unhealthy Eating. A constant diet of fatty, carbohydrate-laden foods is a huge cause of premature aging.
  • Lack of Exercise.
  • Sun Exposure.
  • Alcohol.
  • Stress.
  • Smoking.

Types of Aging

There are five types of skin aging, intrinsic, extrinsic, lifestyle, hormonal, and catabolic. Intrinsic, chronological aging reflects the passage of time from gravity and genetics. Extrinsic aging is usually attributed to photoaging and smoking. Lifestyle or behavioral aging includes diet, alcohol, and drugs.

Aging Process

Aging is a gradual, continuous process of natural change that begins in early adulthood. During early middle age, many bodily functions start to gradually decline. People do not become old or elderly at any specific age. Traditionally, age 65 has been designated as the beginning of old age.

At what age does your face change most?

Before age 50 and also after age 60, females face age—on average—about twice as fast as males; between 50 and 60 years, this sex difference in aging rate is even more pronounced (up to three times faster)

Know-How To Slow Down Aging Painless

According to Verywellhealth, Aging can't be avoided. That being said, there are several measures you can take regardless of your age that can turn back your biological clock and help you live longer:

  • Eat well. Do yourself a favor and eat well. As a general rule of thumb, if you have to open it to eat it, you shouldn't be eating it. Read labels. Cut out sugary drinks and white starches, and incorporate more fruits, vegetables, fiber, and lean proteins.
  • Don't smoke. If you're a smoker, you've likely struggled with quitting, but don't give up. Quitting smoking improves circulation and blood pressure and drastically reduces your risk of developing cancer.
  • Exercise. You might not meet the recommended 30 minutes of activity daily, 5 days a week, but the good news is that even just 15 minutes of moderate activity can improve longevity. Walk the dog, ride a bike, or take a fitness class. Any activity is better than none at all.
  • Socialize. (getButton) #icon=(link) #color=(#2339bd) #text=(Socialization) keeps us young and does wonders for longevity. Maintain good, healthy relationships with others. Stay connected to the ones you love, and make it a point to meet new people.
  • Get sleep. Ignore the saying, "You'll sleep when you're dead." You need sleep, regardless of your relationship with it. Get a good night's sleep every night, reducing your risk of heart disease and lowering your stress levels.
  • Don't stress. Stress, anger, and holding onto grudges can be very damaging. You'll thank yourself later if you work to reduce your stress levels. Incorporate meditation or journaling into your day-to-day and give yourself a break.

Unlock the Secrets to Slowing Down Aging: Tips for a Youthful You - Reverse Aging

Israeli scientists say they successfully reverse the biological aging process – using only oxygen.

Recent research led by Tel Aviv University’s Prof. Shai Efrati, together with a team from Shamir Medical Center, found that when healthy adults over the age of 64 were placed in a pressurized chamber and given pure oxygen for 90 minutes a day, five days a week for three months, not only was the aging process delayed - it was actually reversed.

The study, published in the peer-reviewed journal Aging, focused on whether the process could reverse two key indicators of biological aging: the shortening of DNA telomeres and the accumulation of resultant senescent cells.

A telomere is the end of a chromosome. Telomeres are made of repetitive sequences of non-coding DNA that serve as bumpers to protect the chromosome from damage during replication. These bumpers take a hit every time replication happens, making them shorter and shorter.
Once the telomere reaches a certain length, the cell cannot replicate anymore. This leads to senescent cells: aging, malfunctioning cells that ultimately lead to cognitive or other age-related disabilities and even diseases, such as cancer.

Some 35 adults over the age of 64 were involved in the study. They were administered hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), which utilizes 100% oxygen at an environmental pressure higher than one absolute atmosphere to enhance the amount of oxygen dissolved in the body's tissues.
